Who are Belle Casa?

Belle Casa is a Domestic Cleaning Company and does not do any commercial cleaning. The Cambridge office was opened in 2002 by Barry & Rachel Turpin and is a family operated company who value our housekeepers as much as our clients.

What is the current hourly rate?

This is £12.50, which is paid direct to you by our clients each visit by Cash / Internet Banking. Some clients sometimes pay a little more once settled in with them but this is at their discretion. This rate is reviewed every two years. Both the clients and yourselves you will be informed in advance of any hourly rate increase.

What hours do I need to be available?

You tell us which days and hours you are available and we match clients to fit into those for you.

Do I need to speak / understand English?

Yes, as sometimes the client may require a change to what is needed and it is important to be able to communicate with the client.

Do I need to wear PPE?

If the client requires any form of PPE then they will provide it, this is unusual but a few of our clients are immuno-suppressed.

Do I need a Car?

No, you let us know what transport you have and how far you are willing to travel and we will offer you clients based on this.

What about parking charges if I use a Car?

Usually we offer you clients where parking is Free, however if there is a parking permit required then the client would provide this to you.

Where will I be asked to work?

In everyday people’s homes that are either too busy / have young children / have physical reasons and need your help to keep their home clean.

Do I have to take on the Clients offered to me?

No, We would indicate their Postcode, Number of Hours and Days possible and then you decide if you wish to accept them as one of your clients to clean for. We will then send you details and ask you to contact the clients within 48 hours and arrange to Meet, which is an opportunity to see what is needed, or sometimes the clients will simply want you to start on an agreed date.

Do I keep the same clients?

Yes our clients value an efficient, reliable, loyal cleaner.

What cleaning do I need to do?

Basically what you would do in your own home, i.e. hoovering, dusting, bathrooms, kitchen etc. Some clients occasionally want sheets changed / Insides of Windows Etc. cleaned. If you do not wish to do Ironing then we would offer you clients that do not require it. Each client may be individual in what is required.

Do I provide Cleaning products / Equipment?

No ! Everything that is needed is provided by the client at their home.

What if I break something?

Then let both the client and us know as we put comprehensive insurances in place for You / the Client whilst you are in their home. You will not have to pay a penny !

What if I do not like Dogs or have allergies to Cats etc.

This is a question we ask on our Housekeeper application form and would not offer you clients that you are unable to take on.

What if I need to take a holiday?

We ask that you give us and the client 2 weeks notice and let us know about any of your clients that need temporary cover while you are away and we will arrange this for them.

What if I am ill?

Please let the client know as soon as possible and re-arrange for another day if possible, or they can contact us for a temporary cover.

What if a Client cancels ?

They are required to give one month notice, unless exceptional circumstances, and we can soon offer you another client.

What if I need to finish working for a Client or Belle Casa ?

You are required to give two weeks notice, this allows us time to introduce new housekeeper(s) to your client(s) so that they do not miss out on a service.
